The Foundation's mission is to support certain activities of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. Every Fall, the Foundation sponsors a Lunch at a Landmark to raise funds for its programs and to foster a dialogue regarding preservation and architecture through educational outreach 50 Years of People Saving Places For People. Founded in 1971, Landmarks Illinois is the state's leading voice for historic preservation. As a membership-based nonprofit organization, we promote preservation, restoration and adaptive reuse of buildings and sites of many types in order to leverage our past to create a better future
